Written by Mark Messier at BioRunUp.com -- In 2009 the markets were roaring back after a steep decline.  You could practically through a dart at a dartboard full of stock tickers, and pick a winner. Times have changed.

The market has slowed, if not reversed, and it is much more difficult to pick winners, or even to pick methods that are consistently effective.  I have had to adjust the entry point of the "Run-Up".  Last year 3-5 months was a great entry point.  This year the window is tighter, more like 6-8 weeks.

The point is- it is more difficult to profit in today's market.  How do you know who to trust? Transparency is the key.  Do you know many traders who post their trades live, or who allow a glimpse into their trading accounts?  Below I will highlight some traders who I follow and respect- traders that are transparent.

JohnWelshPHD

JohnWelshPHD is one of the fore-fathers of transparency.  He preaches it, practices it, and encourages it.  Through his posts on Twitter, John posts each trade as he makes them, as well as following up with when and how closed the position with the loss or gain and his monthly totals.  Here is an example screenshot that he posts, using the service TwitPic:

If you have a spare 30 minutes his video interview on StockTwits is worth watching.

TradeTicket

TradeTicket is one of my favorite traders on Twitter.  He is an expert at options trading and posts real-time trades as well as screenshots of his trades.  For an example see the picture from Profit.ly below:

Mike Havrilla

Mike Havrilla from MikeHavRX.com is another example of transparency. On his website he posts every time he makes a trade in his forum.  He also posts a screenshot of his Ameritrade account on his home page.  Take a look:
